Do Build Cert inspect the works being carried out by the contractor?
Yes we use independent chartered surveyors to technically monitor the building works in order to issue the relevant certificate. On a normal build we will carry 4-5 site inspections to ensure that current standards of building regulations are complied with.
How do I get my Building Certificates?
Build cert will issue all Certificates directly to the homeowner within 7 working days of receiving notification of the completed works from the contractor.
When I come to sell my house, do I keep the professional consultants Certificate?
No, your solicitor will need to pass the Certificate to the buyer’s solicitor in order to complete the sale of the property.
I’m selling my property and my solicitor has not asked for my Professional Consultants Certificate. Does he need it?
Yes, your solicitor will need the Certificate if the property has been built in the last 6 years in order to complete the sale of your property.
Can I upgrade to a building warranty?
